Frequently asked pricing questions
Is there a monthly fee?
No. Prism is fully pay-as-you-go. You only pay for the API calls you actually make, at provider cost plus a small mode-based markup. No subscription, no per-seat charge, no minimum monthly spend.
What does the markup actually cover?
Query classification, model routing, session memory in Redis, cross-provider failover, usage dashboards, CSV export, and all infra costs. Most developers still save 30–50% overall because Prism routes cheaper-but-capable models for queries that don't need top-tier reasoning.
What happens when I exceed the free tier?
Requests return a 403 with a free_tier_limit error. Add $5 to upgrade to paid — your balance carries over and unlocks all modes, streaming, unlimited keys, and 100-message sessions.
Can I get a refund on unused balance?
Yes. Unused balance is refundable on request within 90 days of your last top-up. Email hello@ssimplifi.com and we'll process it.
